In keeping with the NIH Roadmap’s directive “to captivate, advance, and nurture a cadre of well-trained multi- and interdisciplinary investigators and research teams,” CTSI has made the development of formal education and training pathways in clinical and translational science a key component of its mission.
Beginning at the predoctoral level and continuing through the junior faculty stage—and beyond—high-caliber, multidisciplinary, and comprehensive programs in clinical and translational research are available.
These program offerings range from certificates and master of science degrees in clinical research or medical education to a PhD in clinical and translational science through the Institute for Clinical Research Education. Other, less formal educational opportunities that also fall under the CTSI umbrella include periodic orientation and training programs targeted at two particular audiences: the Research Coordinator Orientation Program and the Community Outreach Speaker’s Bureau. In addition, archived presentations from the Clinical Research Seminar Series are also available.
