Recruitment, Efficiency and QUality Evaluation of Social media – TrialSpark
The University of Pittsburgh’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is offering recruitment support and TrialSpark free for a year. Trialspark is a data-driven, recruitment system that uses data, analytics, machine-learning, and social media to target particular demographics. It also provides a management system to streamline the recruitment, prescreening, and scheduling process (i.e., automated emails, follow-ups, notifications, and participant-tracking).
Participating study teams will be asked to provide CTSI with current recruitment data monthly with CTSI’s primary aim being to examine the quality and efficiency of TrialSpark as a recruitment methodology. The secondary aim will be to evaluate the utility of the TrialSpark clinical research management system so study teams will also be asked to report on usability and functionality of the system.
10 studies will be selected through an application and interview process. These studies will be required to meet inclusion criteria at submission and will be selected following in-person screening interviews. If selected, CTSI will cover TrialSpark expenses incurred by the studies for a 12 month period.
